MCV International Forwarding’ (“MCV” or “the Company”), a member of the South African Association of Freight Forwarders (SAAFF) and Freight Forwarders Family (3F Worldwide Agents Network), is a black women owned and controlled Customs Clearing, Freight Forwarding; Customs Consulting and Tax Consulting Company.
The company started operating as MCV Investments Holding (Pty) Ltd in 2007 and as the company is now only focusing on investments, had to hand over all International Trade related services to MCV International Forwarding (Pty) Ltd in 2011.
We are a dedicated company with a philosophy of serving and adapting the particular needs of each of our customers.

As a Consulting, Clearing and Freight Forwarding Company, our strategy is to provide local and international companies with integrated services to promote South African trade. The following turnkey services are provided:
1. Pre–import/export planning
MCV Investments assist clients with:
Client registration as importers and exporters.
Preparation and submission of import permit application on behalf of the importer
Advice on rules of origin, trade agreements;
Advice on Rebates and assist the importer to ensure that he participates on rebates
Advice on restricted good
Preparation and submission of export permit application
2. Imports and Exports
Sea Freight
MCV International forwarding handles FCL, LCL as well as project Cargo for both imports and exports. Our Customs clearing team ensures that your cargo is cleared through Customs and is delivered Just In Time.
AIR FREIGHT
Our dedicated team is well equipped to handle all Air Import and Export shipments on time. Our team provides excellent services and ensures that your Cargo is moved at consistent transit time.
ROAD / CROSS BORDER FREIGHT
We have facilities to overland transportation in South Africa and SADC region with our network until door.
PROJECT CARGO
We handle all types of Cargo which can be part of a project and ensure that cargo gets to its destination. We give each project cargo a special care based on our understanding that each project is unique from the other.
3. Incentive Scheme and Customs Consultation
To ensure promotion of South African trade, our experienced consultants
Advise clients on incentive schemes available for specific industries
Provide guidelines and calculations to meet the rules of origin in order to participate in AGOA , GSP,SADC,EU
Register enterprises for participation in relevant schemes; and prepare claims and accounts in compliance with the scheme rules
4. Product Costing
MCV assist clients with product costing for the importer and the exporter therefore saving the client from the risk of getting into contracts that will lead the company to insolvency.
5. Direct and Indirect Tax Consulting Services
Preparation and submission of corporate tax returns
Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Preparation and submission of Excise Accounts for the tobacco industry
Preparation and submission of Ad valorem accounts
6. Motor Industry Development Programme
Foreign currency usage and preparation of the DA190 certificates
Calculation of the Company Specific Percentage as per requirements of ITAC and coordinating the audits
Calculation of Duty Free allowance for MIDP purposes
Preparation of quarterly accounts for Rebate 317.04 participants.
Preparation and coordinating audits of IRCC claims as per ITAC requirements
Obtaining Import Rebate Credit Certificates at a reasonable price for the company; and upgrading company IT systems to cater for the changes from the MIDP to APDP
8. POST CLEARANCE SUPPORT
To guarantee that MCV’s clients are ahead of their competitors, we provide the following value add services:
Preparation and submission of refund claims under the 5th schedule
Preparation and submission of refund claims under the 6th Schedule
Represent the client in the case of assessments raised by SARS and prepare objection.
Preparing audit packs for audit purposes and co-ordinate audits for clients
Assisting with the requirements of the Customs bonded warehouse.
Updating clients on changes in the incentive schemes in which they participate;
Providing workshops to client staff to ensure proper understanding of programmes;
Updating clients on changes in Direct and indirect taxes to minimise future tax penalties;
We also provide indoor training on import and export related issues including the import and the export process, duty rebates, rules of origin, Inco-terms etc.
9. International Trade Training
In order to add value to the South African Economy, Our Company provides training for companies who are interested in participating in international trade. Our courses cover from the basics of understanding cultural differences, International ethics, International marketing, negotiating with international companies, signing a contract with an International company, the export process and documentation, Inco -terms, product costing as well as methods of payment. These courses assist in maintaining a sustainable relationship between a South African Supplier and an International Buyer as well as reducing the risk of incompetent pricing that will lead to insolvency.
10. Warehousing and packaging
MCV International offers bonded and unbounded storage space nationally. We also provide packing and unpacking services nationally.

Ms Nontokozo Gxumisa (Director) BCompt (Unitra) BCom Hons (Natal) MCom Taxation (University of Pretoria)
Nontokozo, the founder of MCV International Forwarding (Pty) Ltd is a dedicated business woman who was employed by BMW SA (Pty) Ltd as an MIDP Financial Analyst in the Finance – Customs and Excise division. Her responsibility among others included managing BMW SA’s incentive benefits from government and from the MIDP in the form of preparing and monitoring the company claims and MIDP quarterly accounts, accounting for company rebates, accounting for direct and indirect taxes such as VAT and Ad Valorem on imports, advising management on the impact of changes in incentives and coordinating all audits either from SARS, External auditors or ITAC.
Prior to joining BMW, she was employed by SARS (Large Business Centre) where she was responsible for Planning and supervising direct and indirect tax audits in the Manufacturing sector specializing on multinational companies. She has spent a number of years at SARS Customs as a Customs Specialist Auditor where she gained a vast experience on imports, exports and rebates in different industries. She was part of the team that prepared audit procedures for SARS Post Clearance Inspection Department (PCI). While at Customs she had more exposure in the Motor Industry, Clothing industry, Electronics industry among others. She served her articles at Gobodo Incorporated where she gained a vast accounting and audit experience. She is a registered accountant and a registered tax practitioner.
Objective is to reserve a percentage of MCV’s profits towards the social investment activities of the MCV Foundation;
The Foundation’s immediate plan is to train, develop and deploy highly skilled previously disadvantaged individuals in companies where MCV has invested and/or has other involvements;
Focus is on exports, imports, supply chain and entrepreneurial development; and
MCV Foundation activities will have a bias towards women development and promotion of international trade.
